Client Screening at front door of Clinics
From Wednesday 25th of March at Wakefield Street and Brady Street ALL clients and visitors will be screened when they come to the clinic(s). At the clinic front door, clients:
- will be asked to enter the building one by one,
- temperature (body) will be taken,
- will be asked about their travel movements in the past 14 days and whether there has been any contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case,
- will be asked if they have a fever or symptoms of respiratory illness (shortness of breath, coughs, sore throat).
Those who are screened with symptoms will be led to one side of the building, while those who are ‘well’ without any symptoms will be able to wait in the usual waiting area. This level of screening is necessary to make sure Nunkuwarrin Yunti can continue to offer services to our clients and community members and reduces the risks of contact with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) for ALL clients and STAFF.
Ongoing provision of services
Right now, all client services will continue as usual although there may be less appointment options available. Please be assured you will still be able to get services. Nunkuwarrin Yunti is moving to a phone based service wherever possible. This means that you will get support and clinical assessments over the phone. If required you will be asked to go to either the Wakefield Street or Brady Street clinic. This is to make sure we follow social distancing guidelines and urge people to isolate and remain in their homes. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at Nunkuwarrin Yunti 08 84061600
