CHCDFV004- Provide domestic and family violence support in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is delivered to ensure that participants have the necessary skills and knowledge to work with and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may be affected by violence.
Topics covered will include:
• Historical impacts of violence in communities
• Social determinants of violence
• Institutionalised and lateral violence
• Power and control model
• Useful frameworks for engaging and supporting community around violence
